4.5 stars from me. This is my favorite Desi grocery in the area. Feel free to take that with a grain of salt, knowing I've only been to maybe half a dozen and I only visit a Desi grocery ~4x/year, but whenever I'm in Rockville and in need of staples, I go out of my way to stop here. Really nice staff. The first time I wandered by and peeked inside-- I didn't know the hours-- they opened early for me. The store is as large or larger and has as much or more selection than any other Desi place I've been to, and prices are fair.
This used to be an outpost of Patel Grocery store for a long time. Looks like the Patel Grocery store owners opened a new store in Gaithersburg so now this has morphed into Parivar Grocery. The staff is still the same and everything is pretty much same in the store as far as supplies are concerned. This is a nice small store to get essentials of Indian grocery. The do have fresh produce available once a week and quality of the produce is decent. There is also a small selection of frozen items that covers the most basic products. Staff is helpful and friendly and parking is plenty in the shopping center too. Location is convenient on Rockville Pike.
